Grips and Vents

I used some walnut and maple to make a grip. I also have the
throttle handle. I will be using a throttle quadrant rather than a
push pull.

|
|
I also fashioned a flap for the flap switch.

Here is the back of the sticks mounted. I used Teak oil for a
finish. You can see that the Left grip has a mike switch on the back.
You can also see the screws that are installed and tapped into the yoke

Here you can see the right seat stick with the hole for the PTT.

Here is the a view looking forward. You can see the hole for the
trim coolie hat.

I added a momentary switch to the main grip. This is for selecting
preset freqs on the radio. It may be handy with a center stick.
I feels pretty good to handle.

Here you can see the detail. I ended up slotting the tube of the
stick to receive the radio switch. It slid right into place. I
soldered and heat shrank the connections. Then potted and installed
with epoxy. It should be stable.

I used #10 screws taped into the metal tube

All done and the wires and switches tested.
