I used poster board that I reinforced with fiberglass cloth. It is very
light and surprisingly strong.

To this I trimmed regular seat foam from an upholstery shop This was
kind of tricky to cut. Straight cuts with the aid of a straight edge were
fine. These angled were kind of rough. But it will be covered up so
shouldn't matter.

I used 3 stiffness of foam. Firm then med then soft. Here I
have sprayed with adhesive and am ready to join.

All done. I added a top bit of soft foam you can also see.

The bottom ones were about the same. I started with stiff then
attached the medium. This held the shape. This is the first

Next I joined the soft and curled it over the front.

Took the seats to get covered at an auto upholstery shop. They did a
good job.
