Instrument Panel & Seat Instl

It took some time to get the scale correct on the printer.  But I finally got it.

Originally I was planning on making my own mount for the 2000C.  But I really didn't find a good way to do this.  I want to be able to take it out easily and replace batteries if needed.  I finally ended up buying the mount from Air Gismo.

Drilled and installed the switches in the center console.

Before I get too far on the panel I need to finish up the routing of the wires aft of the spar.   I also decided to change the attach point for the seat belts.  My tech advisor suggested that I pick up the gear plate.  So I decided to drill out a rivet and add the bolt.

Here with the belt attached.  I never liked the way it was before.  This is more secure and simpler.

I decided to use terminal blocks to connect the wires from the wing.  Here is where the Aileron trim will hook up.

A little out of focus, but it shows how I routed all of the wires.  I really like the spiral wrap.

Here I mounted the strobe box.  and the connections for the rest of the lighting.

It took quite a bit of effort to get it all neatly in place.

But it is now going where I want it and is away from the rudder cables.

With the access panels removed from the seats it will be easy to hook and unhook the wing wires.

I will go a head and install the seats.

I cut the holes for the wires from the wings.  It is kind of a big hole but needed to be able to pass the connector through.

Center bolts

Had to give it a try.  Feels good.

Having it laid out on paper made it easy to cut the holes.

Looks good with some of it installed

On to the power system.  I made a ground plane out of a piece of brass and some connectors.

Trying to lay it out to see where it all will go with the routing.

Mounted the battery.

Mounted the contactors, relays, Capacitor, shunt, regulator and the ground plane.

A view from the aft side of the fire wall.  Note the ground plane on this side.  It is connected with a brass bolt.

Installed the radio and Transponder as well as the EIS.  Santa brought the radio.

From the side.   I added the top piece with the holes.  I will use this to support hinges for hatches.

Another view.
